Another insanely productive month: Learn 2.0, Learn Copilot, Group Proposals 3.0... too many launches to list. Finding early traction with historically disenfranchised communities and are the first fintech account for many users. Elevated K-Factor & engagement briefly forced us to stop new sign-ups/invites & scale up systems. We're back up now, and are ready to bring you all onboard! Keeping up with demand isn't easy at our current size, but this is a fun problem to have.

We're going to market to feel out a new funding round. It's a very important one for us, and will focus heavily on beta engagement and growth, so we'd really appreciate your help! Getting onboard, engaging on a very regular basis, providing feedback, & inviting friends will be HUGE for us.

We're starting you all out in a paper trading environment and will be moving users into production slowly over the next few months. This is our opportunity to lay the groundwork we'll need to acheive rapid scale in production, allows us to be cost effective as we ramp up, and helps us show traction while we're in market.

We continue to be incredibly efficient on cash. Anyone else who's made it to this stage has needed 5-10x more, but thanks to our incredible team, who work tirelessly in support of our mission, we're able to ship products quickly, and to keep expenses managable.

State of the consumer fintech venture environment

The game has changed substantially over the past 12 months. Profitability and revenue are a requirement for Series A, and it's increasingly becoming one for seed as well.

VCs also worry a lot about CAC. This is actually a really good KPI for us right now, and we expect it to just get better over time! We've grown exclusively through organic acquisition, and if we can keep this up, we’ll be unstoppable. We need your help to maintain the K-factor by inviting your friends, and help us to maintain an inclusive, welcoming community for all!

Financial institutions, if run properly, are incredible businesses. However, they require a ton of upfront investment into infrastructure and regulation. We're past that stage, and are about to surpass the Series B stage for just about every other neobroker for the past decade. Even in today's atmosphere, we have faith that we'll be able to raise capital going forward, and continue to see a ton of excitement & very high interest from venture.

Our main focus this next month is going to be finding a lead, which is more of a process than anything else. Today's environment puts us in a unique stage where investors both love companies with a focus on regulatory compliance, but aren't experienced enough in the space to know how to underwrite this. It just means we need to find investors with a very specific domain expertise, and in the meantime - we’ll benefit most by continuing to show more and more traction from our user base (which is where you all come in 😃).

If we can get past this stage, and remain inclusive as we start to scale - there is no limit to the amount of money we'll be able to raise. What we're building is inevitable, we have strong traction with our target demographic (which is entirely untapped), and we are fixing a real problem with a massive TAM.

Our business is very inexpensive to run, and we have a clear path to profitability. We anticipate being profitable by Q4 of next year, or Q1’25 at the latest. To make this happen, we’ll look to bring in $3M - $5M, and can get there with as little as $2M if needed.
